Literature

Know More

For decades, Hindi heartland of India, UP, Bihar, MP, Rajasthan ruled Indian literature. Embarrassingly, almost all the stalwarts hailed from this belt.

Sadly, today the land is bereft of the environment conducive for producing literature. Also, with the rising popularity of English, Hindi writers and readers are soon becoming a thing of the past.

TGILF strives to revive the legacy of Hindi literature, providing a platform to discuss, debate and promote Hindi literature and writers.

Discussing Hindi stalwarts and their legacy is a good start. Promoting them on Social media is another effective way of creating and increasing awareness.

Fortunately, TGILF has been making efforts on both the fronts. It was the first Literature Festival to discuss legendary stalwarts like Sumitra Nandan Pant, Vrindavan Lal Verma and Kaka Hathrasi. During its One on One sessions, these stalwarts were discussed at length.  The same has been promoted on social media too. As a matter of fact, the Facebook page of TGILF keeps running periodic campaigns on well-known writers and poets from the Hindi heartland.

In days to come, a lot has been planned. Keep tuned in for more.
